Italy - summer 2021
In the summer of 2021 we travelled to Piemonte in Italy with our Jolly Egg. It started us thinking about buying a second home there.
We first travelled to Costa Vescovato in the east.
The village Voghera with a beautiful Cathedral.
Thye city Gavis with Church of San Giacomo Maggiore.
Piemonte has beautiful villages and fortresses.
The city Bobbio, also with a Cathedral and the Basilica of Saint Columbanus.
The Trebbia river an valley.
Borgetto and Cerretto_Langhe.
Saliceto with beautiful castle and Cortemilia.
The village Millesimo in Liguria, along the river Bormida.
Bubbio, Monforte de Alba and surrounding villages.
The famous Nizza Monferatto.
The city Asti with beautiful churches like the 11th century Asti Cathedral (below), with terracotta statue group "Compianto sul Cristo morto" by Niccolò del Arcà) or the roman church of San Secondo.
Acqui Terme. and the 11th century roman basilica church of the Addolorata.
Savone at the Mediterranean Sea.
